Holiday Break Reading Challenge #15

http://holidaybreakreadingchallenge.blogspot.com/

Create a Cover is the title of today's challenge:

1 – Go to “Fake Name Generator” or clickhttp://www.fakenamegenerator.com/

The name that appears is your author name.

2 – Go to “Random Word Generator” or clickhttp://www.websitestyle.com/parser/randomword.shtml

The word listed under “Random Verb” is your title.

3 – Go to “FlickrCC” or click http://flickrcc.bluemountains.net/index.php

Type your title into the search box. The first photo that contains a person is your cover.

4 – Use Picnik, or something similar to put it all together. Be sure to crop and/or zoom in.

5 - Link your Book Cover using Mr. Linky.

In terms of the activity for the Reading Challenge, I’m asking the participants to create the cover and write a short synopsis to go along with it.

Here is my attempt:

Kyle Brown has always felt like he is on the fringes of society. He likes it that way. Kyle is a loner, he likes living his own life without being involved with other people. Kyle's hurts run deep. Abused and abandoned as a child Kyle has been taught the "hard knocks" of life. He has decided that life on his own is better than ever being hurt again.

Kyle's life is about to change. When he encounters Jessica and her young son at the local library he soon realizes that they have nowhere to go. Kyle realizes that something needs to be done about the rising population of single mothers trying to raise young children on little or no means. When Kyle steps out of his comfort zone and attempts to do something about the problem the local media steps in. The people of the city are not happy with Kyle. They do not want "undesireables" coming into their city. Is Kyle ready to open his heart to other human beings in need by taking on City Council and the media?

Well, there you have it. That's my attempt at writing a synopsis. I'm not a writer or story teller so this was pretty difficult!
