This is an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. I am not sure when it comes out. I understand that the author has changed the ending of the book. If that is the case then I am very glad! The ending stunk! Not to mention the fact that this is a companion book to The Forest of Hands and Teeth instead of a sequel. I was hoping for a continuation of Mary's story from the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Instead The Dead-Tossed Waves jumps years ahead of that story. Yes, we do find out some of her story(eventually)but it just isn't the same. BUT~I got caught up in this story. It is exciting, tense, nerve-wracking! What keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the ending.
