Katie Singleton is supposed to be starting her vacation, but when she sees emergency vehicles at a local restaurant Katie stops to see what is going on. Finding out that a murder has taken place in one of Daniel Matthews restaurant has Katie worried for his safety. She brings in the other members of the Elite Guardian team to help protect Daniel and his niece Riley. Daniel thinks he can protect himself, but it doesn't hurt to have another set of eyes, and to give Riley piece of mind Daniel agrees to hire the Guardians.
Both Katie and Daniel have felt let down by God. Will their lives in danger help them to turn to God again and let go of their anger? As Katie and Daniel's lives are constantly put in danger they keep trying to determine why Daniel is being targeted. Several suspects come to mind, will they be able to figure out who wants Daniel gone before it is too late?
I am really enjoying this series. I love the team of Elite Guardians and am enjoying reading each ones story. I enjoyed the fact that there were several people that could possibly be the "bad guy" and it kept me turning the pages well past midnight to find out how it all turned out! If you enjoy a good suspense then definitely pick up one of this authors books, you will not be disappointed! I can't wait to read the next book which comes out January 31, 2017(just a few more days!)
I thought this one was really good. I liked the unique characters, and of course, the "mystery" that is begging to be solved. :)
