ABOUT THE BOOK:

When Kirra's cousin Meg is kidnapped and her Uncle Frank is missing from the Iditarod trail she and Reef McKenna set out to find them. Kirra and Reef have known each other since kindergarten. Reef is the bad-boy McKenna, and Kirra has put men at arms length for years, how will they ever work together to save Meg before the kidnappers release destruction?

Kirra's college years are a subject that she would prefer not to talk about, but one of their leads takes them back to the very place of her worst nightmare. Kirra is willing to do anything though to save her cousin.

The Lord has gotten hold of playboy Reef and he is a changed man. Throughout their investigation Kirra learns that she can not only renew her trust in the Lord, but she can also rely on Reef to help her through this ordeal.

MY THOUGHTS:

SABOTAGED is the last book in the Alaskan Courage series and I totally enjoyed it. I thought this last book had more of a spiritual tone to it than the others in the series. I thought author Dani Pettrey did a very good job in exploring the question of why God allows bad things to happen without giving a pat answer or becoming overly preachy. As with all of the books in the Alaskan Courage series there were some great suspense moments that had this reader on the edge of my seat. If you haven't read any of this series I highly recommend it. Dani Pettrey fast became a favorite author for me and I look forward to her next project!

BOOK AND AUTHOR STATS FROM THE PUBLISHER:

Book Summary:
Growing up, goody-two-shoes Kirra Jacobs and troublemaker Reef McKenna were always at odds. Now paired together on Yancey’s search-and-rescue canine unit, they begin to put aside old arguments as they come to see each other in a different light.

Then a call comes in from the Iditarod that will push them to their limits. Kirra’s uncle, a musher in the race, has disappeared. Kirra and Reef quickly track the man, but what they discover is harrowing. Frank’s daughter has been kidnapped. In order to save her, the man must use his knowledge as a mechanical engineer to do the kidnapper’s bidding or she will die.

Kirra and Reef, along with the entire McKenna family, are thrown into a race to stop a shadowy villain who is not only threatening a girl’s life, but appears willing to unleash one of the largest disasters Alaska has ever seen.
