ABOUT THE BOOK:
For Monica Scott, building
her late father’s house at Lake Tahoe isn’t an option—it’s a necessary distraction
from confusing memories and an uncertain future. But a handsome planner working
for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) is keeping Monica from moving
forward with the project. Never mind that he’s young and charming with a great
sense of humor. No one is going to stop Monica from making her father’s
dream—and her own—a reality.
All Greg Linsey wants is
for his work to mean something. His job at TRPA gives him the opportunity to
fight for the environment he loves and make a difference in his small corner of
the world. But with the sophisticated Monica Scott’s arrival, his dedication is
tested as never before, especially when Monica turns to his unscrupulous
nemesis for assistance.
As Greg and Monica’s
animosity turns into something far sweeter, can they learn to accept each
other’s promises and avoid the growing danger to their lives and hearts?
MY THOUGHTS:
Once again I think that Lena Goldfinch, the cover designer, did a fabulous job matching the cover with the synopsis of the story. Not only does she do a great job with her covers, but she also does a great job coordinating all of the covers in the series. I love the background of Lake Tahoe in this one. I also like how the font is coordinated on each cover. I especially like how each cover represents the characters in that book. I think that each area represented are three of my favorite places to be. I love a quiet mountain retreat that is represented in Love's Miracles. An ocean island represented in Love's Refuge would be heaven on earth for me. I love Lake Tahoe represented in Love's Promises, it is a beautiful lake surrounded by amazing mountains. Yes, I would love to live in any of these spots! I can't forget to mention the hunky men on the covers as well! While I am not a fan of the scruffy look, which each of these guys have, I do appreciate their rugged/caring/manly hero representation that they present on each cover. Having read Love's Miracles and Love's Refuge I am definitely looking forward to reading Love's Promises. Come back in April for the blog tour and you'll be able to read what I think, and in the meantime you can check out my reviews of the other two books.

How fun to read your thoughts on all the covers, Julie! :) I love the way Lena designed each of them, as well. Sandra's stories are very atmospheric, and I think the covers do a great job of capturing that - the emphasis on the settings where the tender romances take place. Thanks so much for participating in the cover reveal!

Hi Julie, What great insights you have on the covers. Amber and Lena really go to a lot of work to represent the story and the characters. I am really pleased with the results. Thanks too for referencing your reviews of the other two books. What a great idea. Thanks for sharing today.
ReplyDeleteHallo, Hallo!! :)
ReplyDeleteI am so very thankful to have been a part of the Cover Reveal blog hop!! :) Being interested to new book bloggers & learning a bit more about Ms. Leesmith's series has been a true blessing as well! I wanted to participate because this story spoke to me as being one of the cosy inspirational romances where you can curl inside and enjoy your company of the characters! I love heart-warming stories! :)
I liked reading your thoughts & impressions, not just on the cover for this installment but for the combined cover art for all the novels in sequence! You're quite right too, quite keen of Ms. Goldfinch to create a triptych collage of all the stories!! That takes dedication and a keen sense of awareness for the writer and her stories!
I must definitely will be dropping back on your lovely blog!
Happy reading!! :)
