Margo Devaull is a psychologist. When Vinnie Zanelli tells
her that his brother Dominic (Zane) has agreed to therapy but refuses to leave
his home Margo agrees to go to Zane. What she finds is a man that has cut
himself off from any emotional connections and has secluded himself from his
family. Zane has not agreed to therapy and he is in denial that he needs it. It
only takes Margo a short visit for her to realize that Zane could be suffering
from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from his time in Viet Nam. Margo has experience with counseling soldiers
with PTSD and knows that she can help Zane if he would just open up to her.
Zane has no intention of opening up to anyone. He has worked
for years burying the secret that he has carried from Viet Nam. What he doesn’t
realize is how persistent Margo can be and also how much he comes to look
forward to her visits. The law dictates that no doctor can become involved
personally with a patient until after therapy has been ended for 2 years. Margo
knows that Zane needs help, but he refuses to seek it from anyone but her. The
problem is that Zane and Margo are drawn to each other, which makes it
impossible for Margo to be his doctor. Unable to give up on trying to convince
Zane to get help, Margo risks losing her license and practice.
My Thoughts:
I enjoyed LOVE’S MIRACLES. It was well-written and kept the
interest of me as the reader. I enjoyed the romance between Margo and Zane,
even though it was forbidden it was understandable. There was a bit of passion
that at times threatened to go beyond the bedroom door, but even though both
characters expressed a desire for a more physical relationship the author
managed to keep the story PG. I’m looking forward to trying another one of
Sandra Leesmith’s books soon.

Good morning Julie,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for participating in our blog tour. This is my first and has been so much fun.
I appreciate your review and the time for us. I like your blog. Looks like you are a true blue reader. smile Great choices btw.
Thank you again.
Hi Sandra! Thanks for stopping by! Yes, I am a "true blue reader" since I was about 10 so that is a lot of books over the years!
DeleteBTW, I have your book THE PRICE OF VICTORY on my TBR pile. Looking forward to reading it sometime this summer :)
Thanks for the blog compliment! I too like it, I hope you found it un-cluttered as that is what I am going for :)
Have a wonderful day!
Yes, Julie, it is uncluttered and I liked that. It was very easy to navigate which I like also. I like your reviews also. Short and to the point. Great going.
ReplyDeleteI was a true blue reader also. I read a book a day since I can remember. But I was told that when I start writing, you won't read as much. I didn't believe the person who told me that, but it is true. Almost makes me want to quit writing so I can enjoy reading again. smile
Oh good "short and to the point" is exactly how I want it.
DeleteThat is so sad that you can't read as much now that you write. I'm thankful that God gave so many writers such vivid imaginations so that they can entertain me who is a non-writer! :)
Thank you so much, Julie, for reading the book and sharing your review - here, and on Amazon and Goodreads! Sandra and I really appreciate it! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have you on the blog tour team!
~Amber
