In My Mailbox






These books were all waiting for me when we got home from vacation! I almost couldn't wait to get home to jump in! I've started with CRESS even though ROSEMARY COTTAGE and WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S STAR WARS are for review and CRESS is not! I couldn't wait to get into this book! I'm really just starting it, but so far it is good. I also still have a few books on my Kindle that are for review. I feel like I am slipping farther and farther behind on those. On vacation I read 6 books. Yes, I had a lot of time to read! I need to go on vacation more often as since we have been home I have only been able to sit down and read for a few minutes at a time. I'm just slightly overwhelmed! Does this make me not go looking for more books to read? Of course not! I've been to a book store, I have looked through NetGalley and currently have several books on Pre-Order from Amazon. How does a person not have time to read yet have time to go looking for books? I manage it quite well, thank you very much!

Yes, today is my birthday! I have no problems announcing to the world that I am now 48 years old! Woohoo! It does scare me a bit to realize that I will be 50 in 2 years! My oldest daughter is making dinner for me tonight and we will all be together so I call that a perfect birthday! How do you like to celebrate your birthday? Do you like a huge party or just a family gathering?

    Jealous you get to read CRESS!! I can't wait for it to come out! Also, Shakespeare and Stars Wars?? That's definitely being added to my list!

      The book spine says it comes out in 2014. That seems too long to wait! I think I read somewhere that the cover reveal is tomorrow. It is good so far. And yeah, Shakespeare and Star Wars! I can't wait to get into that one too. I'm thinking I might have to start reading more than one book at a time with all of the great books sitting on my shelf.

    I hate I didn't get over here yesterday now! Happy (late) Birthday!! My husband turned 34 yesterday, so it's a pretty special day to me, too! ;)

      And yes! It is an awesome stack of books. I have an awesome stack of books on my Kindle as well. I'm drowning in books at the moment! And the sad thing is I still continue to get more. There are just so many good books coming out soon. I need to be reading 24/7 to finish them all.

    First off, happy belated birthday!!! Like Bluerose, I apologize that the wishes are late, but I hope your day was grand and your new year of life will be wonderful. :)

    Second, what a great stack of books to come home to! And Cress???? How lucky you are! I would probably dive right into that one, too. ;)

    Third, I totally know what you mean! I somehow manage to browse and acquire new books all the time, when I have so many I still need to read (and I already feel pressured to catch up, LOL). Book addicts, unite! ;)

      Hi Amber! Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a wonderful celebration. Went to breakfast with my husband in the morning and then my daughters cooked dinner for me. Love my family :)

      I know, totally lucky on getting CRESS! It is so good!

      I'm seriously feeling stressed about how many books I have for review. I kick myself for requesting them, but how can I resist? And what have I done all day? Sit in front of the TV. In my defense though I have a summer cold and my excuse is that my head hurts to read a book at the moment. Yes, Book Addicts need to unite, there needs to be a 12 step program!!
